stream 20 miles (32 kilometers) long in northern Virginia west of Washington, D.C., flowing into Occoquan Creek (a small tributary of the Potomac River)

Note: Two notable Civil War battles were fought in the vicinity of Bull Run on July 21, 1861 and August 29–30, 1862.
