Note: French chytridiose appears to have been introduced by the mycologist Adolphe Prunet (1858-1933) in "Sur une Chytridinée parasite de la Vigne," Comptes rendus hebdomadaires des séances de l'Académie des Sciences, tome 119 (juillet-décembre 1894), p. 574.
