variants or Chinese Heilong or Hei-lung
river about 1780 miles (2865 kilometers) long in eastern Asia formed by junction of the Shilka River and the Argun River, flowing into the Pacific at the northern end of Tatar Strait, and forming part of the boundary between China (Heilongjiang Province) and Russia (Siberia)
