: an uncommon form of anaphylaxis associated with physical exertion that is characterized by anaphylactic symptoms (such as hives, itching, angioedema, or shortness of breath), that may sometimes be life-threatening, and that includes a form triggered only after ingestion of a food (such as wheat or shellfish) to which the individual is sensitized
